76 Years of Giving
Now in our 76th year of fund-raising, the Angelina County United Way remains committed to ensuring our friends and neighbors have the basic necessities of life - food, clothing and shelter.
United Way of Angelina County knows there are many in our community who struggle every day to provide for their families, and everyone's donation, no matter the amount, helps those in need have a place and people to count on.
It only takes a few minutes to make a single donation to the United Way, which in turn provides funds to many local, hard-working non-profit agencies.
Each of the agencies has a special place in this community, and each provides a service that is unmatched by any other. We are lucky to have such tremendous non-profit groups that provide services day and night for those in need.
The United Way Budget Committee visited each agency in June to discuss its budget and needs for the coming year, and in July the Budget Committee met for two days, discussed each agency and the needs of the community, then set the overall goal and the amount each agency will receive based on the goal raised.
How we help the community
We work hard to provide the basics for those in need, including:
- Food
- Clothing
- Shelter
- Emergency assistance
The funds we collect are dispersed to our United Way agencies. Each agency has niche services that they provide to the community. Although donors have contributed generously, there's still MUCH work to be done.
Get involved in the cause
Taking a few minutes to make a single donation, no matter how large or small, can make a difference in someone's life. You'll help a person who is struggling to survive and provide for their family.
